Who is Eligible for the Streamlined Pathway?
You may qualify for the streamlined pathway and avoid the OBA (Outcomes-Based Assessment) if:
✔️ You graduated in the Philippines but NEVER held a Philippine RN license
✔️ Your first nursing registration was in the USA (passed NCLEX-RN and obtained a U.S. state license)
✔️ You have at least 1,800 hours of clinical practice in the USA within the last 8 years
✔️ You meet English language proficiency requirements
Who is Still Required to Complete the OBA?
You must go through the OBA pathway if:
❌ Your first nursing registration was in the Philippines, even if you later obtained a US RN license
❌ You have less than 1,800 hours of clinical practice in the USA in the last 8 years
❌ You do not meet English language requirements
Recognized Comparable Jurisdictions
The additional pathways recognize the experience of IQRNs who have practiced for at least 1,800 hours in the following NMBA-approved comparable jurisdictions:
✅ United Kingdom
✅ Ireland
✅ United States
✅ Canada (British Columbia and Ontario)
✅ Singapore
✅ Spain
If you meet the criteria and have work experience in one of these countries, you may be eligible for a direct registration pathway without taking the OBA.
